The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is one of the most modern single-engine multi-purpose combat aircraft, and has been in mass production since 1995. It is characterizedby high reliability, manoeuvrability and ease of maintenance. Take-off and landing is not a major problem even on difficult ground conditions. The current C-Model which is in use with the Swedish Air Force is also used by 3 other Air Forces.
