Airfix Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR3 04055
The Harrier was a close support aircraft with the primary role of assisting NATO forces in the event of conflict. Its ability to operate from hidden dispersals made it difficult for opposing forces to find and destroy. With a full weapon load, the Harrier normally needed a short take-off to get airborne. A wide array of weaponry could be carried on the Harrier's strong points.
During the Falklands War, Harriers carried PAVEWAY laser guided bombs and 30mm rocket pods and also were fitted with Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.
