Oxford 87CE57003 Copenhagen Blue Cadillac Eldorado Hard Top 1957

 

The third release on the extravagantly designed Cadillac Eldorado is even more eye-catching than the two previous releases which appeared in black and then red.  This time the brilliant blue and silver colour scheme is highlighted even further with masses of chromework. Also a hardtop and with a roof masked in silver, our 1:87 four-door replica hails from Colorado numbered 3-17925. The bumpers and badging are silver as are the windscreen wipers, while special attention has been given to the wheels which have chrome hubs with red centres and the tyres feature a fine yellow line.   

 

In real life the Cadillac Eldorado stayed in production from 1952 to 2002 with several makeovers in between. The Oxford version represents a very short period in its evolution from 1957-1958, when it was produced with a distinctive body shell and rear wheel drive.  A rare beast indeed!
