BR 2-10-0 'Evening Star' 9F Class was the 999th locomotive of the British Railways standard range and the very last steam locomotive to be built by BR in March of 1960.
Because of this momentous landmark, 92220 Evening Star was assigned to be preserved from construction and subsequently features a commemorative plate which is authentically incorporated in this fantastic model.
